Mark Blackburne - Director

Mark has been a director since 1985. He has particular interest and expertise in forestry, business/trust structures and taxation issues. As a result of this expertise, clients are spread throughout New Zealand. His spare time is spent with his family and he keeps fit through his activities including running, gym and Shotokan Karate . He takes great pleasure in good wine.





Sonya Elmiger - Director

Sonya is born-and-bred from Taupo and has been a director since 2008. Sonya comes from a forestry family and her genuine care for her clients means that she brings that something extra to her role. Sonya is currently on the board of FICA (Forest Industry Contractors Association) so that she can best represent the contractors perspective and keep abreast of changes to the industry. Sonya likes to keep fit, is an avid boxing fan, and spends her spare time with family and friends.




Joanne Dunn - Practice Manager

Originally a Taupo girl and previously working with Mark and Sonya for 15 year’s, Joanne has returned to the fold as Practice Manager after an absence of 4½ year’s living and working in Western Australia.  Joanne spends her free time bush walking and catching up with family, especially her grandson and friends.





Craig Munro

Craig is a Chartered Accountant who has worked with a wide range of commercial and farming businesses. Since moving to Taupo in 2007 and joining Blackburne Group, he has developed a knowledge of the forestry industry while working with a number of forestry contractors. An outdoorsman, on weekends he can be found taking advantage of the wide range of hunting and fishing opportunities the Central Plateau has on offer.





Nicola Braddock

Nicola interned with the Blackburne Group while at university and took up a full time position when she completed her degree. Nicola has progressed quickly and now holds a manager’s position with the organisation. Nicola likes to keep active and throughout the year she is often out running, cycling and swimming with her dog; as you can tell she loves to be outside





Kristy Kewene

Kristy is currently on Sabbatical Leave.

Kristy joined us after seven years living in South Canterbury. Born on the West Coast of the South Island, she grew up in Northland. Kristy has lived in many towns throughout New Zealand. Coming from a forestry family and marrying a forestry contractor, she just followed the trees. Kristy is a qualified accountant and over the last 25 years has worked in several accounting roles moving into CA work five years ago. Kristy is based in our Northland office in Whangarei where she is building relationships with clients and industry specialists. As a mother of two her spare time is devoted to keeping up with the kids.

Paula Amrein

Paula is a Taupo girl. Having worked for over 15 years in Chartered Accountancy she married and had two boys. Taking a nine year break away to raise a family and assist her husband in running their own business, in 2011 Paula has now returned to accounting. Besides keeping up with the kids after school and weekend activities, Paula's interests include water skiing, reading (when she gets the chance), and towing her children and husband around on skis on the local lakes.





Diana Waldrom

Born in Whanganui, Diana trained as a Psychopaedic nurse in Levin after leaving school. Diana has lived in Taupo for more than 25 years. Having started with Blackburne Group as an administrative assistant (utilising the organisational skills she acquired home schooling her 3 boys), she has grown into an accounting clerk position. Diana looks after the Tax Management system and Trust Administration.





Dru Yerex

Dru joined Blackburne Group in March 2008 and has taken on the role of office administration. Dru has been involved in small business administration since 2008. Dru fills what we call a CSA (Client Services Administration) role and you probably hear from her when you need to have your financial statements prepared.

Logan Hammersley

Logan joined Blackburne Group in 2008 and has extensive experience in chartered accountancy as well as solid business experience. Married with 2 daughters, Logan’s interests include kayaking, sailing, mountain biking and running.





Anita Bron

Born in Wellington, Anita has spent time working in Auckland, travelling the world on an OE and settling in Taupo in late 2008. Anita is very practical and efficient, and her fantastic laughter makes everyone smile. She’s a busy lady with two daughters but always has time to listen.

Monica Natta

Looking at better lifestyle, both Monica and her husband decided to escape Auckland and relocate to Taupo.  Monica has been working in various accounting practices for the past 24 years.  Her interests include travelling and this is usually done by riding her Harley Davidson motorbike exploring what New Zealand has to offer.

Mark Jenkins

Mark has lived in Taupo for more than 20 years and has been with the Blackburne Group since 2000. He has been involved with the installation, maintenance and upgrading of the computer systems for Blackburne Group, as well as other companies and businesses in Taupo. When not working, Mark likes to spend time with friends and family and has a wide range of hobbies including motorbikes, gardening, and hydroponics.

Yvonne Courtney

Yvonne joined Blackburne Group in October 2019 and works with Kristy and Dawn in the Whangarei Office. Originally from Northland, Yvonne returned after 24 years in the Bay of Plenty having worked in the Banking and Accounting Fields. Yvonne enjoys spending time with family & friends and enjoys cooking, the occasional glass of wine, reading & walking.

Dawn Dent

Dawn joined Blackburne Group in 2014 and works with Kristy in the Whangarei office. Originally from Whakatane, Dawn has a background in administration/accounts. She moved from Taupo to Whangarei in 2014 with her husband where they are establishing their new home and enjoy exploring the beautiful Northland coastline in their spare time.

Jolene Rodley

Jolene grew up in the Bay of Islands and lived in Onewhero in North Waikato before she moved to Taupo to marry one of the locals. She has been in the Accounting Industry for over 20 years having worked at Chartered Accountancy firms and a Tax Pooling Intermediary. In her spare time she is highly involved in the local Community Theatre – being one of the Cast members of a Centre Stage production, this was the best thing to do to meet other locals.

Sarah Barnett

Sarah originally comes from Wellington, but has lived in Taupo for more than 20 years. Sarah has a background in administration/reception. Her spare time is spent with family, her daughter, horse-riding and walking her dog.

Sanket Salagare

Born in India, Sanket has moved to Taupo after a couple of years in Auckland. Being his first job in NZ, he is very much excited to be in Taupo. 

He comes from an Accounting background and loves working in the accounting industry. He likes watching sports in his free time and is always ready to explore the beautiful scenic views.

Emma Elmiger

Emma has returned part time to assist the admin team. In her spare time Emma likes to keep fit, travel and spend time with family. The odd wine of the evening helps keep her at the top of her game.

Katya Glover

Katya has had a change of scenery after moving to us from Auckland and working as a beauty therapist. She has recently joined the team to assist admin. Her weekends are usually spent finding new mountain bike tracks to explore around the countryside.

Natalie Alexander

Originally from Hamilton, Natalie has recently joined the team after moving to Taupo. She is a Chartered Accountant and has worked with a range of clients. In her spare time she enjoys bush walks, reading a book and spending time with friends and family.

Kath Clarke

Kath has recenty joined us after working for a civil construction & drainage company in Hamilton for the past 7 years, as their Finance Manager.  Kath has worked in finance for the majority of her career, both in New Zealand and the UK.  She enjoys cooking, creative writing and wine.... her 3 grandchildren keep her young.
